Famileez of the Month: The Curlicue Pigs

Li’l Woodzeez is celebrating its 15th anniversary! Each month of this year, we’ll be taking a closer look at one chosen family and recognizing all the things that make it special. We want to give a big round of applause to all the wonderful Famileez that make up our beloved town of Honeysuckle Hollow!

This September, put your hands together for the town’s master chefs: The Curlicue Pigs!

In this adorable family of four, there’s Mom Maria, Dad Roberto, little boy Toby, and baby girl Olive. Together, they run the Pass-the-Past Restaurant in Honeysuckle Hollow! From finger-licking pizza to oh-so comforting lasagna, Mom and Dad serve up lots of yummy dishes there. Generous and hard-working, the Curlicues are kind souls that love to bring their community together over a delicious meal.

Fun Facts About the Curlicue Pigs

Im-pasta-ble: Toby can list over 30 different pasta shapes! Just ask and he will cook you up a list. There’s Tortelloni, Tagliatelle, Pappardelle, Fusili, Macaroni, Farfalle, Penne, Ziti… And more! (And more and more.)

Sauce Boss: Roberto is so good at making pasta sauce that he doesn’t even need to read a recipe anymore! From Alfredo to Carbonara, he’s got it covered.

… Goes to the Market: Maria is a bargain hunter, always finding the best deals for the freshest ingredients at the Hoppin Farmers Market.
Cozy Cues: They’re busy bees in the kitchen, but after a long day at the restaurant, the Curlicues like to simmer down with hot drinks and good books.

Green Thumbs: The Curlicue Pigs love to garden! They have a big vegetable patch in their yard, full of healthy and delicious plants like tomatoes, cucumbers, snow peas, and squashes.

Did you know?

For centuries, pigs have been experts at finding truffles—mushrooms that grow underground. Their keen sense of smell guides them to these delicacies that may be up to 3 feet below the surface! It’s this incredible foodie talent that inspired the Curlicues’ jobs in Honeysuckle Hollow!
